About Grow Cocoa Initiative (GCI)
Grow Cocoa Initiative (GCI) is a Ghanaian community-focused initiative working towards stronger, more resilient cocoa-growing communities. We want to support cocoa farmers, encourage sustainable agriculture, protect forests and water resources, and create opportunities for young people. Communities face interconnected challenges, including climate change, declining agricultural productivity, environmental degradation and illegal mining (galamsey). GCI aims to respond through education, advocacy, community outreach, partnerships and practical projects.
